Born from real tastings.
In 2020 and 2021, during the pandemic, BlindRank founder Alexandre Bronzatto ran eight remote blind tastings for a wine club. Each taster received the numbered wines at home, in 60 ml bottles, and the group met by video call.
Each tasting had its own form, and the result was tallied by hand by adding up everyone's positions. The labels only came out after the result. BlindRank runs that whole process on the phone, from numbered wine to reveal.

The reading can be wrong, and you check it before saving. Photograph the label and BlindRank extracts name, producer, vintage and region with AI.
- Modes Four modes, chosen by the organizer. In visible-label mode, tasters know which wine is in each glass. In blind mode with a wine list, they know the theme and the wines on the table, but not which one is in each glass. In blind mode, they know the theme, but not which wines are on the table. In double-blind mode, they know neither the theme nor the wines.
- Methods In ranking mode, each taster orders the wines by preference. In score mode, each taster scores every wine on the scale chosen by the organizer. The current options are ★, 1–10, 20 pts and 100 pts.
- Aggregation Simple average by default. The organizer can exclude extremes, removing the highest and lowest score before calculation.
- Tiebreakers The organizer can allow ties or ask BlindRank to separate close results with automatic cascading criteria.
- Archive Tastings and scores stay saved. You can compare how the same wine was evaluated on different occasions.

01.What is included in the free testing phase?
Use may have limits during the testing phase, such as the number of tastings. Within that, the testing phase includes what you need to run a tasting. You invite tasters with a PIN, choose the mode and the evaluation method, reveal the labels and share the full result. The history stays saved, no card is required, and tasters do not need an account.
02.What happens when the testing phase ends?
BlindRank will have paid plans for organizers, wine clubs and professional use. You will receive notice before any change. There will be no automatic charge. You only pay if you choose a plan.
03.Does the taster need an account?
No. The organizer creates the tasting and shares a PIN. The taster opens the app on a phone, enters the PIN and then chooses a display name. The app also offers an optional email field for testing-phase communications.

The organizer chooses score or ranking before the tasting starts. In score mode, the options are ★, 1–10, 20 pts and 100 pts. A table that wants a more direct read can use stars. A wine club that prefers the scale popularized by Parker uses 100. A table that only wants to choose the best wine of the night uses direct ranking.
06.Are tastings saved?
Yes. Each tasting is saved with individual evaluations and the group result. Useful for tracking how perception changes over time, or for remembering what each person said before the reveal.
