Terms of Use

1. Acceptance of the terms

By accessing or using BlindRank, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use BlindRank.

We may update these terms. Relevant changes may be communicated to the registered email or by a notice in the app.

2. Description of the service

BlindRank is an app for running wine tastings with a group ranking.

The organizer creates the tasting, adds the wines, invites tasters with the PIN, follows the evaluations and reveals the labels at the end.

BlindRank can be used in blind, double-blind or visible-label tastings.

3. Minimum age

BlindRank is intended for people aged 18 or older. By using BlindRank, you declare that you are at least 18 years old.

4. Organizer account

To organize tastings, you need to create an account with a valid email or sign in with Google.

You are responsible for:

• keeping your credentials secure;
• using an email you have access to;
• keeping your details up to date;
• telling us if you notice unauthorized use.

The taster who joins with the PIN does not need an account to take part.

5. Acceptable use

You agree to use BlindRank only for legitimate purposes and in line with these terms. It is forbidden to:

• use BlindRank for purposes that are illegal or harmful to others;
• try to access data from other people or tastings without authorization;
• interfere with how the app works;
• use unauthorized automation;
• enter content that is illegal, offensive or in breach of the rights of others.

6. Content you enter

You are responsible for the data you enter in BlindRank. That includes wine names, photos, evaluations, comments and data about invited tasters.

By entering content, you authorize BlindRank to store, process and display that content in order to run the tasting.

Data from a tasting can be seen by the organizer and by authorized tasters, depending on the state of the tasting and the visibility chosen.

7. Rankings and results

Rankings, scores and results come from the data entered by organizers and tasters.

BlindRank does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness or technical soundness of the evaluations. The group result does not replace individual perception.

A new tasting with another group may produce a different ranking.

8. Beta and availability

BlindRank is in beta. During this period, use is free, with no automatic charge.

This means that:

• the app may be unstable or interrupted;
• features may be changed, added or removed;
• continuous availability is not guaranteed;
• usage limits may be applied to protect the service.

Future paid plans will be announced before any charge.

9. Intellectual property

BlindRank, its brand, design, code and features belong to BlindRank.

No part of BlindRank may be copied, reproduced or redistributed without express written authorization.

10. Limitation of liability

BlindRank is provided as is. Use during beta may involve failures, interruptions and changes in how the app works.

To the extent permitted by Brazilian law, we are not liable for indirect damages arising from the use of BlindRank.

11. Governing law and venue

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federative Republic of Brazil.

The courts of the judicial district of São Paulo, State of São Paulo, Brazil, are chosen to settle disputes arising from these terms.
